About us:

We use phylogenetics, ecophysiology, structural analyses and development to understand how evolutionary history influences a plant’s form relative to its function in its current environment.  For the last several years, we have focused on the South African genus Pelargonium, using field, greenhouse and lab studies to understand form and function among the highly diverse growth forms, stem structures and leaves of this amazing genus.
